Is The Struggle Real? Vulnerability and Dream Work

It's been a while since I've posted and while there isn't many viewers on here yet, but for the sake of staying relevant in the world of the internet... Heyy. This post may not have a specific outline like my last post about lucid dreaming, but stay tuned for a future article on dream interpretation.

I offer oracle and dream interpretation readings for those interested; Click 'Book Now' below to schedule a reading with me!

Tarot Reading

According to renown psychologist, Carl Jung, it is practically impossible to decode our own, personal dreams due to internal resistance caused by the mind. This is partly why dreams are scattered and have strange imagery because, it's the mind's way of disguising the underlying message such as a core belief. This could be why tons of people look to the internet for answers on dream symbolism but never truly get what the dream is trying to tell them or how they can heal.

Oracle readings can provide you with full insight and intuitive feedback to help you understand your dream(s) on a deeper level than just looking up what teeth falling out means... The readings are specific to you and your journey, thus giving you valuable insight in any circumstances that have occurred or occurring in your life today. Dreams have the potential to be a guide on how to move forward in a conscious manner -to be more aware of our words and actions in waking life.

Dreams are motivated by thoughts and emotions. This opens the door for us to take our individual experiences and learn how we truly feel inside. To feel emotions is imperative for our survival yet stigmatized in society. You know the drill, work, eat, sleep and get up and do it all over again. If your emotions are in the way of doing your work, suck it up buttercup and grow the f*** up, right? Then we wonder why we are in a mental health crisis...

America is having a mental health crisis along with other problems that need to be prioritized. This is due to pushing our emotional guidance compass down the drain, and hide away in our subconscious mind. Thus, creating the fabric of our shadow self.

Disregarded and disowned feelings are depicted and felt during sleep. In order to move forward in mental health, we need to take the time to feel our feelings (unfortunately) in private or with a licensed therapist. Our mind and body are linked to our emotional well-being whether we like it or not. Try 1 minute to check in with your emotions then work up to 5. Similar to lucid dreaming and dream work, take your time, don't rush the process.

I've been reading Carl Jung's book, Dreams, translated by R.F.C. Hull, before I write a full article on dream interpretation. I want to ensure you receive the utmost accurate information and see the difference between Freud's and Jung's dream analysis methods. I have been researching dream interpretation throughout history dating back to the beginning of human existence to get the full scope of the subject. I'm very excited to share what I find with you all! Please sign up for my newsletter to receive notifications for new blog posts.

Dreams and emotions are a vulnerable aspect of our lives. As Brené Brown states in her book, Daring Greatly,

"Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they're never weakness... If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can't survive."

You may already know dreams are our brain's way of sorting and resolving inner conflicts, but there is so much more to discover. Scientifically, we still don't know why we have dreams and/or how we astral project, which continues to spike my curiosity, and hopefully yours too.

Sure, we may have discovered all the land on Earth, but our brains and consciousness are like space and the ocean. We always have more to discover. Fun, right?

Best,

Lucid
